Location: Fareham
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £31,899.92 per annum
Additional: £55 per sleep-in (ad hoc) + on-call duties (approx. once per week)

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our residential team in Fareham, supporting children and young people in a safe and nurturing environment.

About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts, support team members, and ensure care is delivered in line with each child’s individual plan. You will help young people build life skills, confidence, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts

• Build positive relationships with children and young people

• Support the creation and delivery of care plans

• Oversee daily routines and activities

• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures

• Take part in the on-call and sleep-in rota

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working in a children’s residential home

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
