Lead, Inspire, and Build a Brand-New Children’s Home

Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead the opening and management of a new 2-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the registration, setup, and day-to-day management of a new Ofsted-registered children’s home

• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015

• Develop and implement care plans, behaviour management strategies, and measurable outcomes

• Recruit, train, and lead a skilled team committed to trauma-informed and child-centred practice

• Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance systems

• Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and operational resources efficiently

• Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and partner agencies

• Lead by example — promoting a positive, therapeutic, and empowering culture

About You

• Experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up

• Proven success within Ofsted-regulated residential care (EBD, LD, or similar)

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

• Passionate about achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people
