Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £54,000 (negotiable for the right person) + performance bonuses
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (with 1 day per week from home)
About the Role
Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic residential children’s home in Northampton, supporting children aged 6–12 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities

Take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home.

Lead, motivate, and develop the care team to deliver outstanding therapeutic care.

Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.

Champion best practice in safeguarding and trauma-informed care.

Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and individualised support strategies.

Foster strong working relationships with families, local authorities, and partner professionals.

Maintain a safe, emotionally supportive, and development-focused home environment.

Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation effectively.
Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).

Substantial experience in residential childcare.

Previous experience as a Registered Manager preferred – strong Deputies ready to step up are also encouraged to apply.

Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and children’s home regulations.

Passion for therapeutic, trauma-informed practice.

Full UK driving licence (essential).

Must be aged 21+ (in line with regulations).

Must have the right to work in the UK.
