About the Role
Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a therapeutic residential children’s home supporting children aged 6–12 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Role Overview
As Registered Manager, you will hold full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and therapeutic support. You will lead and develop the staff team, embed trauma-informed practice, and create a safe, emotionally supportive environment where children are supported to heal, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home

Lead, inspire, and develop the care team to deliver outstanding therapeutic care

Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation

Promote best practice in safeguarding and child-centred care

Oversee personalised care planning, risk assessments, and therapeutic interventions

Build effective working relationships with families, local authorities, and professionals

Maintain a safe, nurturing, and development-focused environment

Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation effectively
Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

Substantial experience within residential childcare
-
Previous Registered Manager experience desirable; strong Deputy Managers ready to step up will be considered

In-depth knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and children’s home regulations
-
Strong commitment to therapeutic and trauma-informed models of care

Full UK driving licence – essential

Aged 21 or over (in line with regulatory requirements)

Right to work in the UK
