Location: Nuneaton
Salary: Up to £54,000 per annum (negotiable for the right person) plus bonuses
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Flexible Working: Option to work 1 day per week from home
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a therapeutic residential children’s home in Nuneaton, supporting children aged 6–12 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

You will have overall responsibility for the home, leading a small, dedicated team and creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children are supported to heal, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Take full operational responsibility for the effective running of the children’s home

Lead, inspire, and develop the care team to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care

Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and relevant legislation

Promote best practice in child-centred care and trauma-informed approaches

Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and therapeutic interventions

Build strong, professional relationships with families, local authorities, and external professionals

Maintain a safe, emotionally supportive, and development-focused environment

Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation effectively
Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

Substantial experience within residential childcare

Previous experience as a Registered Manager is desirable; strong Deputy Managers ready to step up will also be considered

In-depth knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and children’s home regulations

Strong commitment to therapeutic models of care and trauma-informed practice

Full UK driving licence – Essential

Aged 21 or over (in line with regulatory requirements)
