Salary: £33,664 rising to £34,881 per annum + occasional sleep-in payments
Location: Fleet Marston, Aylesbury
Hours: Combination of shifts including late shifts, admin days, and some sleep-ins
Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Deputy Home Manager to join an Ofsted-rated GOOD residential children’s home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Deputy Manager or an experienced Senior looking to progress their career within children’s residential care.


About the Role

As Deputy Home Manager, you will:

  • Support a team caring for 3 young people, ensuring their voices are heard and individuality celebrated

  • Work closely with the Home Manager and wider leadership team to shape and develop the service

  • Contribute creatively to enhance and embed a therapeutic model of care

  • Receive support to gain your Level 5 qualification and prepare for future leadership roles

  • Take on additional responsibilities to build confidence in stepping up to manage the home when required

You will play a central role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young people can grow, develop resilience, and achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s home as a Senior or Deputy

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People

  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures

  • Experience managing budgets and staff rotas

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Proactive, resilient, and child-focused leadership style
