The Opportunity
Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead an adult social care service in New Mills.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a well-established service supporting adults with complex needs, including learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and acquired brain injuries.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care, leading a motivated team, and ensuring the service operates in full compliance with regulatory standards while achieving positive outcomes for the people supported.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, performance, and compliance of the service.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will ensure the service delivers excellent care while maintaining strong operational performance across quality, people, and financial sustainability.
You will also act as the key point of contact for regulators and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Service Management

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the service

Inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing staff team

Promote a positive, inclusive, and person-centred culture

Ensure safe staffing levels through effective rota management
Quality & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation

Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and risk management

Complete audits and implement action plans to continuously improve service quality

Ensure the service is always inspection-ready
People We Support

Deliver and promote person-centred care tailored to individual needs

Support individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or acquired brain injuries

Work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes and independence for those supported
Financial & Operational Oversight

Manage budgets, resources, and overall service performance

Monitor occupancy, commissioned hours, and service utilisation

Use data and reporting systems to drive informed decision-making
Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families, and external partners

Represent the service professionally in all external interactions

Ensure effective communication across all levels
Person Specification
Essential
-
Proven experience in a management role within adult social care
-
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or willingness to work towards)

Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements (CQC)

Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or ABI
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience managing budgets, rotas, and service performance

Strong IT and data analysis skills

Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams effectively

Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion

Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable

Knowledge of therapeutic and non-aversive care models

Full UK Driving Licence
