Deputy Clinical Manager

Location: Cardiff (CF24)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Deputy Clinical Manager to join a specialist nursing service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

Working alongside the Home Manager, you will help lead the clinical and operational delivery of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and compassionate care while supporting and developing a dedicated nursing and care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the nursing and care team.
  • Promote high standards of person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
  • Ensure compliance with CIW and RISCA regulations.
  • Support clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous service improvement.
  • Assist with staffing, rota management and effective use of resources.
  • Encourage a positive, supportive culture for both colleagues and residents.
  • Monitor clinical standards and help drive positive outcomes across the service.
  • Support audits, inspections and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a role model, providing clinical guidance and leadership to the wider team.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid and active NMC PIN.
  • Previous leadership or management experience within a nursing or care setting.
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
  • Good knowledge of CIW and RISCA regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • A proactive and positive approach to continuous improvement.
