Salary: £42,664 – £49,452 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Opportunity
Joneshouse Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a specialist children’s residential home in Westbury, Wiltshire.
The home supports children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where they can rebuild confidence, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes.
Working alongside an experienced Registered Manager and multidisciplinary professionals, you’ll play a key role in leading the home, supporting the staff team and ensuring children receive the highest standards of care.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the home, ensuring outstanding care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the daily management of the children’s home.
- Leading, mentoring and developing the staff team.
- Promoting high standards of safeguarding and therapeutic care.
- Supporting with care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
- Assisting with staff recruitment, supervision and performance management.
- Working closely with families, local authorities and external professionals.
- Helping to create a positive, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
About You
To be considered, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in children’s residential care, including experience in a supervisory or senior role.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is desirable but can be supported if not already achieved.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months.

- Basic salary of £42,664 – £49,452.
