Salary: £35,400 – £42,664 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Opportunity
Joneshouse Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Team Leader to join a specialist children’s residential home in Westbury, Wiltshire.
The home supports children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment where they can develop confidence, resilience and independence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader looking to join a supportive organisation that genuinely invests in its people and offers excellent career progression.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home while providing leadership and guidance to the care team. You will help create a safe, stable and positive environment where young people can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading shifts and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the home.
- Providing high-quality, therapeutic care and support to children and young people.
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting Residential Support Workers.
- Deputising for the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager when required.
- Supporting safeguarding, behaviour management and risk assessments.
- Ensuring care plans, records and documentation are completed to a high standard.
- Promoting positive relationships with young people, families and external professionals.
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellent care.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
- Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (essential).
- Experience leading shifts or supervising staff.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Resilience, empathy and a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
- A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months.
Salary & Benefits
Our client offers an excellent package including:
- Basic salary of £35,400 – £42,664.
- Up to 3 sleep-ins per month, paid at £80 per sleep (approximately £2,880 per year).
- Attendance allowance of up to £1,400 per annum.
