Salary: £14.50 (£30,160) to £15.70 (£32,656) DOE + Sleeps ins (£7.2k)
Shifts: 8am to 11pm – 1 day on, 2 days off

Joneshouse Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join their dedicated residential childcare team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, qualified professional to take on a rewarding role supporting children and young people in a nurturing, safe environment.
Job Summary
- Complete Induction, learn internal systems
- Attend fortnightly supervision, staff meetings
- Complete all phases of online training
- Attend face to face training
- Complete homes and YPs paperwork
- Daily recording and reporting
- Learn to complete RA
- Care plans
- Doc checks
- Undertaking QCF Level 4
- Role modelling for new staff and YP
- Complete weekly checks
- To lead shifts on a regular basis
- To support other homes
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Residential Support Worker is responsible for:
- Following safeguarding procedures
- Shift lead and manage the shifts
- Reporting YPs behaviours and staffing issues
- Supervision of staff
- Management tasks as set out by the RM
- Carrying out inductions
- Designation for the RM.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare
- 2 years experience in children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, inspections, supervision, safeguarding, whistleblowing and caring for children and young people
- Confidence and commitment to driving, including on motorways and at night
- Clean enhanced DBS
- UK Driving Licence
