Location: Whitchurch, Shropshire
Salary: £29,608 – £30,825 per annum (£14.60 – £15.20 per hour)
Additional Earnings: £3,000 – £6,000 per year in sleep-in payments (approx. 4–8 per month)
Total Package: Up to £36,825 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, 39 hours per week
The Opportunity
Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Deputy Home Manager to join a 2-bed high-intensity therapeutic children’s home in Whitchurch, Shropshire.
This is a modern, newly refurbished home supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and wider leadership team, helping to shape the culture and development of the service while ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding are maintained.
This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or current Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Experience
At least 2 years’ experience working in a Residential Children’s Home at Senior or Deputy level.
Qualifications
NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
Knowledge
A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and residential childcare standards.
Management Skills
Experience supporting with staff rotas, team leadership, and operational responsibilities.
Driving Licence
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
