Joneshouse Recruitment is proud to partner with an innovative care provider to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a new family-based residential home in Oxfordshire (OX39).

This is a rare opportunity to lead the launch of a unique service designed to support up to four families (initially opening with three), offering care, stability, and long-term outcomes for vulnerable families in a therapeutic, nurturing environment.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will play a key leadership role in setting the tone, culture, and direction of the service. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and providing exceptional support to both staff and the families in your care.

This role would suit an experienced manager from a residential care or fostering background, looking to make a meaningful impact while helping shape a pioneering new service.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold the Ofsted Registered Manager role and ensure full regulatory compliance

• Lead and manage a skilled team of professionals, providing guidance and support

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home

• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and family support

• Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies

• Implement therapeutic, trauma-informed approaches tailored to each family’s needs

• Drive continuous improvement and service development as the provision grows

• Maintain accurate records and submit required reports in line with Ofsted and organisational standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Ofsted-regulated setting or foster care services

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

• Proven track record in managing residential or family-based care services

• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and care standards

• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

• Commitment to trauma-informed, family-centred practice

• Full UK driving licence and ability to commute or relocate to OX39
