About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead an 8-bed adult residential service in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of an established service, ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity and positive outcomes.

As Registered Manager, you will provide strong leadership to the staff team, maintain high standards across the service and ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.

You will also build effective relationships with families, professionals and external stakeholders while creating a positive and inclusive environment for both the people supported and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential service.
• Lead, inspire and develop a dedicated care team.
• Ensure consistently high standards of person-centred care and support.
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and relevant policies and procedures.
• Promote safeguarding and the wellbeing of the people supported.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, professionals and external stakeholders.
• Manage staffing, rotas, budgets and resources effectively.
• Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice for the people supported.
• Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and positive outcomes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive culture throughout the service.

Essential Requirements

• Previous leadership or management experience within adult social care.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing staff teams and supporting their development.
• Ability to effectively manage budgets, resources and service performance.
• Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
• A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Desirable

• Full UK Driving Licence.
