About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed supported living service in Scarborough.

The service supports adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex needs, providing a safe, structured and person-centred environment where individuals are encouraged to develop their independence and achieve their personal goals.

As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the service, ensuring consistently high standards of care, regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for the people supported.

You will lead and develop the staff team while working closely with families, commissioners and other professionals to ensure the service continues to provide high-quality, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the supported living service.
• Ensure consistently high standards of person-centred care and support.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and strong governance across the service.
• Lead audits, quality monitoring and continuous improvement plans.
• Ensure care plans, support plans and risk assessments are accurate, person-centred and regularly reviewed.
• Lead, motivate and develop the staff team.
• Provide effective supervision, support and performance management.
• Support recruitment, induction, training and ongoing staff development.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management.
• Promote a positive culture focused on the wellbeing, independence and development of the people supported.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals.
• Promote independence, choice and community involvement for the people using the service.
• Drive continuous improvement and support the ongoing development of the service.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Previous management experience within adult social care.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
• Good knowledge of adult social care legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or complex needs.
• Experience managing staff rotas, budgets and operational performance.
• Experience driving quality and compliance through audits, monitoring and action planning.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

Desirable

• Knowledge of therapeutic and non-aversive approaches to support.
• Full UK driving licence.
