About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a fully established four-bed children’s home supporting children with learning disabilities.

Please note: This is not a pre-opening project. The home is fully set up and equipped and has already undergone its Ofsted registration visit. Following a change in management arrangements after the registration visit, the successful candidate will be appointed as the new Registered Manager to complete the registration process.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced children’s residential care professional to take the lead of a newly established service and help create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the children’s home.
• Ensure high standards of child-centred care and support.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and positive environment for children.
• Ensure the home operates in accordance with Ofsted requirements and relevant legislation.
• Lead, support and develop the staff team.
• Oversee care planning and ensure individual needs are met.
• Maintain strong safeguarding practices and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with families, social workers, education providers and other professionals.
• Drive positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Support the successful completion of the Ofsted registration process.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership or management role within a children’s residential home.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children’s residential care.
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• A confident, compassionate and child-centred approach.
• Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Desirable

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
• Experience managing or developing a newly established children’s home.
• Previous experience successfully working towards or completing Ofsted registration.

Salary & Benefits

• £60,000–£85,000 per annum, depending on experience and candidate profile.
• 35 days’ annual leave.
• £300 monthly fuel allowance.
