Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established 8-bed Children’s Residential Home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established service where therapeutic care, positive outcomes and staff development are at the heart of everything they do. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the children’s residential home.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
- Lead, supervise and develop the staff team.
- Promote outstanding safeguarding practice and positive outcomes for young people.
- Manage referrals, admissions and occupancy levels.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, families and external professionals.
- Monitor budgets, staffing and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across the service.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic and child-centred environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
- Previous experience managing an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children’s residential legislation.
- Passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
- Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 12 months).
