About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to open and lead a brand-new 2-bed children’s home for young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new service from the ground up — building your own team, defining the culture, and setting the standard for excellence in care. Key Responsibilities

• Register, establish, and manage the day-to-day running of a new 2-bed LD/EBD children’s home.

• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted standards and strive for “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.

• Develop and implement high-quality care plans, behaviour strategies, and outcome-focused practices.

• Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team committed to trauma-informed, child-centred care.

• Oversee safeguarding, health and safety, and all quality assurance processes.

• Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and operational resources efficiently.

• Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and external professionals.

• Lead by example — promoting a nurturing, therapeutic, and supportive home culture.

About You

• Experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up.

• Proven track record within Ofsted-regulated children’s residential care (EBD, LD, or similar).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

• Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

• Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
