Location: Haringey, North London
Salary: Up to £62,000 per annum + Annual Bonus
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (flexibility required, including on-call rota)


The Opportunity

Joneshouse Recruitment is currently seeking an exceptional Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new Residential Children’s Home in Haringey, North London.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, creating a therapeutic, nurturing environment where vulnerable children and young people can thrive. You will play a key role in building an Ofsted-compliant home, developing systems and policies, recruiting a strong staff team, and embedding a positive culture focused on outcomes and stability.

The service currently has one young person in placement, with planning underway to expand to three children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and registration of the home, including recruitment, policies, and operational systems
  • Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Prepare the home for Ofsted registration and ongoing inspections
  • Build and develop a strong staff team aligned with the home’s values and culture
  • Embed trauma-informed, child-centred practice across the service
  • Oversee safeguarding, care planning, and support for children with complex needs
  • Develop strong partnerships with local authorities, external agencies, and professionals
  • Manage budgets, rotas, service audits, and continuous improvement

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential home (within the last 5 years)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and relevant frameworks
  • A deep understanding of trauma-informed care, systemic practice, and attachment theory
  • Proven leadership and team-building ability
  • The right to work in the UK
