About the Role

Jones House Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established children’s residential care provider in search of a dedicated Registered Manager for an OFSTED-regulated home in Leicester. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a passionate team in delivering outstanding care for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of the children we support—creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and daily operational management in line with OFSTED, the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.

• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care and safeguarding practices.

• Lead, inspire, and support your residential team—fostering a positive, inclusive, and resilient workplace culture.

• Oversee care planning, behaviour management, risk assessments, and documentation.

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders: local authorities, social workers, schools, and healthcare professionals.

• Prepare for and lead OFSTED inspections, aiming for ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes.

• Effectively manage home budgets and resources.

• Champion the emotional, educational, and personal development of each child in your care.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy within a children’s residential setting.

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards it).

• Strong working knowledge of OFSTED regulations and safeguarding best practices.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

• A genuine passion for working with vulnerable children and young people.

• Eligibility to register with OFSTED as a Registered Manager.
