Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking a bold and compassionate Registered Service Manager to lead and oversee the registration and management of two solo children’s homes in Wigton.

Each home supports one child at a time, delivered through dedicated 2:1 care — providing the opportunity to make a meaningful difference where it truly counts.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage two solo occupancy homes, creating safe, nurturing environments for children to recover and thrive.

• Recruit, inspire, and develop a high-performing residential care team.

• Ensure homes exceed Ofsted expectations and meet each child’s individual needs.

• Work collaboratively with external professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes.

• Embed therapeutic care, consistency, and high standards from day one.

🧠 What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 12 months’ experience managing a children’s home

• Strong leadership and team development skills

• In-depth understanding of SCCIF, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)

• Full UK driving licence and access to transport

• A resilient, trauma-informed leadership approach and a genuine passion for helping children thrive
