About the Role
Joneshouse Recruitment is proud to be recruiting for a Residential Manager to lead a brand-new, purpose-built 2-bed children’s home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered or Deputy Manager to take ownership of a new service — shaping its culture, building a high-performing team, and creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where children can truly thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations of the new 2-bed EBD home.

Deliver consistently high standards of care aligned with Ofsted requirements.

Develop and maintain person-centred care plans to meet each young person’s unique needs.

Recruit, mentor, and motivate staff to provide therapeutic, trauma-informed care.

Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory frameworks.

Build strong relationships with families, local authorities, and external agencies.

Maintain accurate records, supervision logs, and Ofsted documentation.

Promote a positive, resilient, and child-focused culture within the home.

Drive continuous improvement through effective leadership and innovation.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Residential or Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.

In-depth understanding of EBD care and Ofsted regulatory frameworks.

Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.

Confident in setting up and leading a new service from inception.

Flexible, proactive, and passionate about achieving positive outcomes for young people.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
