About the Role

• Teach and inspire students in vocational Hair & Beauty courses

• Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that build confidence and employability skills

• Support learners to achieve practical, personal, and professional growth

• Create a safe and supportive classroom environment

• Encourage independence and prepare students for life beyond school

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons to small groups or individual students

• Prepare materials and ensure safe use of tools and equipment

• Manage classroom behaviour and assess student progress

• Maintain strong communication with parents and staff teams

• Promote inclusion and positive engagement in all sessions

Requirements

• Experience teaching vocational subjects, ideally Hair & Beauty

• Passionate about working with students with SEND

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a SEND or alternative provision setting

• QTS or QTLS preferred but not essential

• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
